According to the size of mean pore, ceramic membranes are generally divided into two categories: micro-filtration membrane (MF) and ultra-filtration membrane (UF).

The mean pore size of CRM-MF membrane elements is 50nm-10000nm, and the most commonly used are 1200nm, 800nm, 500nm, 200nm, 100nm; The mean pore size of CRM-UF membranes is 50nm, 30nm, 10nm, 8nm, 5nm.

Membrane elements can be made in small size installed in individual modules of 0.1 square meters surface area, which are available for laboratory devices, ensuring the ability to evaluate and scale up processes to any size.

Overview

VOCEE Ceramic membrane

Ceramic membranes are made from alumina oxide (Al2O3), titanium oxide (TiO2), zirconium oxide (ZrO2) and other metal oxides. Generally, CRM ceramic membranes are tubular, open-ended, cross flow devices.

Alumina oxide membranes are available for microfiltration and ultrafiltration as single-channel or multiple- channel elements with channel diameters between 2 and 16mm.
