Seawater reverse osmosis system
Seawater is the water that makes up the ocean. It is very salty, so it is not safe to drink for us. Using seawater makes us and can even make us sick. But thanks to special technology that scientists developed, we can turn seawater into drinking water that is clean and safe. This miracle technology is called seawater reverse osmosis system and we often call it SWRO for short.
SWRO is a special type of filter that is used to remove shrimp and all bad things from seawater. It employs a thin membrane layer. This membrane is very intelligent, allowing only small water molecules to pass through. At the same time, it blocks larger particles like salt, germs, and other impurities from passing through. This process is called reverse osmosis, as it functions against the direction of a standard filter most often functions.
