Sea water desalination
First, the seawater is pumped into a big machine known as a desalination plant. Once inside this plant, the seawater runs through filters and membranes that extract the salt from the water. It’s these filters that are like very strong sieves that only let clean water through and leave the salt behind. Technology is progressing, also in terms of Vocee Membrane seawater desalination system! Scientists and engineers have been developing new ways to make the process faster, cheaper and smarter. One neat idea is to use solar energy to power desalination plants. This is also an energy- and environment-saving component.
