VOCEE Nanofiltration system

Nanofiltration(NF) is a membrane separation process that can remove many dissolved high-molecular-weight compounds from the feed water. NF membranes also referred to as "softening membranes" as they remove the hardness from the feed water while leaving the majority of low-molecular-weight ions in the water.

NF membranes can also remove large organic molecules over 1,000 Daltons, such as color substances in water. NF systems have substituted reverse osmosis treatment in many applications where the ultimate process merely requires the removal of hardness and large organic matters.

Depending on your source of inlet water (groundwater, surface water or tap water, etc.), the total dissolved solids content varies from 500 ppm to 15,000 ppm. Contact VOCEE to custom-design the NF system that is most suitable for your facility.

Micro-pollutants like herbicides and insecticides, as well as low-molecular components like colorants and sugars can be very successfully blocked using a nano-filtration membrane.

NF can be implemented for removing the following parameters (removal yield indicated in brackets):

Dissolved matter (>75%);

Harmful micro-organisms, e.g. bacteria, protozoa, algae, fungi (>90%).

Persistent organic matter (50-75%);

Organic compounds (50-90%);

Nutrients (incl. phosphates);

Metals (50-90%).

Inorganic salts (e.g. sulphates).

Partial desalination for industrial applications-compact and cost-effective

Equipped with the latest generation of 'low-pressure' membranes, this system achieves maximum permeate performance with low operating pressures and high outputs, thereby lowering investment and operating costs.

As the system runs with low operating pressures, the entire system can be fitted with inexpensive PVC pipework. This system is also available with an integral, semi-automated cleaning system and permeate and/or raw water flushing option.

The system also can easily be adapted to meet specific customer requirements. Pipework material, other types of membrane for high salt rejection or decolorization, integration of measuring and control technology (such as conductivity, ORP or PH measurement) and metering technology (in pre-treatment and post-treatment) to visualize of the entire process with peripheral components on a PLC.
